God in Daily Life

Psalms & Proverbs

I put out a fire at work today. Literally. Usually I put out emotional and mental fires. Today was different.

Superstition says bad things come in threes. Number two was someone not following through and doing their job which affects my performance. So this forced me triple time it. Complete her job to do mine professionally. I was fuming mad.  According to Napoleon: If you want a thing done well, do it yourself.

Number three involved electrical shocks and an ER visit. I’m done. NO MORE!  But the enemy kept taunting me, next came a car flying through a red light as I was turning left on a green. Then an oversized raccoon scampered in front of my vehicle.

So as I lay me down to sleep I am still shaking at seeing flames shoot under a doorway. I am still in shock over the strange series of events. “They come in threes” my friend said, “You’re done now.” Yeah right! Four and five near catastrophic events.

The only important thing that involves three is my Trinity.  This morning I fought fire, literally. This afternoon I put out a mental fire of anger. Tonight I was shocked into  perpetual prayer. It’s the three in one that matters the most. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

When is the last time you thanked the Trinity? When was your last crazy day when you thanked your Father for protecting you, or Jesus for guiding you, or the Holy Spirit for filling you?
