God in Daily Life

Psalms & Matthew

You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Imagine our world if everyone looked in the mirror to see what God sees. What a wonderful world it would be!

The world picks us apart piece by piece. They will sell you a diet plan and they will sell you padded jeans. Parts of you are too big or too little. We simultaneously wax and rogaine. We surgically change our appearance and we poison ourselves.

What the hell?

Exactly. It’s hell shouting our supposed imperfections and picking us apart. Piece by piece. Sometimes it’s people close to us degrading us and sometimes it’s the world. We hear whispers and we hear shouts about what we need to change and how we need to do it.

Your body is a temple. It’s stunning and gorgeous and handsome. God doesn’t make mistakes.

Sometimes we make mistakes and we binge or purge. We abuse our bodies with temporary fixes, and temporary can become an addiction. That’s a gift from hell too.

We need to respect our bodies and ourselves. We need to take care of them daily. We need to watch what we put in our mouths as much as we need to watch what our tongues say. You will become what you believe.

So kick some butt or stomp your foot and tell Satan to get behind you. Don’t believe his lies anymore.

Believe the truth. It will set you free. The revenge body? Another focus on the flesh. Your temple is pure and holy. It doesn’t need to be reinvented and remodeled by the world.

So before you become addicted to recreating what God made perfect, look in the mirror. Pray to see what God sees in you. The beauty, the majesty, the divine essence of you. Fearfully and wonderfully made. In His Image.

Have you looked in the mirror lately? Are you out for revenge or are you out to outshine the world with His glory within you?
